But at the same time this is not required for renewal applications.

A complete cover letter duly signed by all the members of the family if it is for a couple or a family. Complete mailing address should be included and if there is a deadline given then it should be mentioned in the cover letter and also on the outside of the envelope. And it should include rolled impressions of all ten fingerprints and impressions of all ten fingerprints taken simultaneously.

The FBI background checks are charged and the person is requested to pay either in the form of a money order or as a certified check. And it is always better that the FBI background checks are being charged since the free ones may not be very reliable.
