personal credit history of a would-be tenant for the first
time, should undergo a small procedure. The inspection
of the site is compulsory. Site inspection companies
are located all over the country and they can provide this
service on behalf of the credit bureaus.
A
company with good reputation will come to interview. These
personnel will interview with few questions and you have to
fill up a form and sign it. This formality is done once, then
the owner can verify the tenant background as many times as
he likes. For this above procedure, a nominal fee is charged.
Some companies do telephonic interview with the previous
landlords and the current employer of the tenant, give all
the information without using database which sometimes is
out-dated, so it takes a little longer than a day for the
report to be made and it’s worth the wait.
The tenant background check report should contain the County
Criminal Background Check, County Civil Background Check,
Employment Verification, and Tenant Verification. Some of
the sites offer partial tenant check which includes the County
Criminal and Civil background checks and the Credit Check.
For this the owner has to sign a consent form.
The rent may be small or big amount but these tenant
background checks will always come handy and save you from
the burden of damages, and reduces your headaches and your
cash flow is regular.
